February Campout 2012

We set off right after school. After driving 20 minutes, we got there and set up tents. Then we set out our gear. We went inside and Group A started dinner (hamburgers) and desert (donuts).

We then ate, then watched the movie Miracle. After that it was 10:00, so we went to bed.  We woke up and put away gear. Then we ate Dutch Oven French toast and orange juice.  We played Life, then ate lunch of Jimmy John's. Then we left.

Klondike Derby 2012

The Klondike: We got there and guess what: we set up camp! Weate, then went to the campfire. It started to rain, and did through the night. We woke up, ate breakfast, and went to the events. Our best one was building a fire and cooking a egg on it then eating it. Wedid this in 3 min 6 secs.

After they were done, we went back to camp and had lunch. We then went to the awards. Overall we got 4th, and they only had prizes through 1-3. WE also came in 3rd in our wave in the sled race, and only 1 and 2 got to race in the final wave. But we won a Dutch Oven from the egg event, getting 1st. We packed and left.

December Campout - Twin Bridges

December we went to Twin Bridges. We found a good place and set up. We built the fire, then started dinner. We ate, then played, then slept. We woke up, had breakfast, and a few of us went out and skated on the mostly-frozen river. Mostly we fell through drenching us, but it was fun. We ate, then left.

November Campout - Green Canyon

November we went to Green Canyon and set up camp. It got dark, and most of us went to the pool to start swimming. Cooking crew stayed for a bit making Hobo Soup. We all had fun. We went back to the tents and slept.

We woke up to a total blizzard. We hurried and pitched the tent and left, eating donuts in the car.

Horseshoe Lake Campout - Canoeing Part 2

For all of the pictures click here

Friday we set off at 4:30 and set up the tents. The cross-country people came at around 7:30 and set up the last bit. For dinner we had pizza we cooked in the Dutch Ovens and homemade cream soda. We had cobbler for dessert then went to bed. We woke up, had our breakfast (Dutch Oven french toast, bacon and hot cocoa) then had our safety lecture and set off for canoeing. Some of us paddled to the dock, then some of us jumped off the high dive. We paddled back, then swamped and rescued the canoes, did T-Rescues, and then had our Battle of the Tetons. Jonathan and Austin stayed up to win the Battle, then the Goodsells unswamped their canoe the fastest. It was a beautiful September day with plenty of sunshine so no one froze.
